An IVA in Scotland is called a Trust Deed. An IVA is only available in England and Wales, so the Scottish government created the Trust deed for Scots.
The terms are even better than an IVA as you can enter with only £6500 of debt, where as an IVA you need around £15,000. The payments terms are normally over 3 years and an IVA is usually 5. We'll hope you'll agree that us Scots have a slightly better service.
IVA stands for Individual Voluntary Arrangement and is mainly used by people south of the border to deal with their debts.
